Individual Counseling
So you're considering counseling? Maybe it's the first time, maybe you're returning after a break, or maybe you're not even certain if therapy even works. We are here for all of it! One-on-one individual counseling sessions are confidential, supportive spaces where people can talk about things that are important to them, things they would like to be different, and focuses on client-defined goals. Individual therapy can help people understand their relationships, their struggles, the ways they problem solve, their communication, and themselves. Therapy can be done in a variety of ways, and from a variety of different theories. Our counselors tailor sessions, personalizing for each client's unique needs and goals. Our counselors have all completed graduate degrees specific to providing counseling, and are highly trained and committed to culturally inclusive and ethical practice. At our practice, clinicians value genuine connection and "realness." Read on below to better understand some of the ways our clinicians are trained to help!
Types of Therapy
Neurodivergence Affirming
Our practice is committed to being affirming to all neurotypes. In fact some of us are neurodivergent and really understand what navigating the world through a neurodivergent perspective is like. If you've been wondering about neurodivergence like ADHD, Autism, giftedness, learning differences, or other types of neurodivergence, we can help you to better understand your unique brain type. We explore life experiences, client executive function, and use a strengths based model to support clients and families in enhancing understanding, self compassion, developing plans and routines that support instead of drain them, and we can provide some guidance in exploring work and school accommodations for support when needed.
