Therapy Note

Interested in spending less time on progress notes? Trying to develop a more uniform process? We'll be exploring the use of checkbox notes for therapy note-taking purposes. Appropriate for those working in community or school mental health roles.

One hour sessions for mental healthcare providers and include LIVE in person or virtual individual or small group training, consultation for your specific needs, example note forms, and other helpful links for starting your own check box note system. $130

Notes That Stick:
Notetaking Strategies for Every Brain

Clinical documentation is one of the most universally dreaded parts of practice — yet rarely do we talk about why it's so hard. In this training, clinicians will explore the science of executive function and how it directly shapes our ability to start, sustain, and complete notes. We'll examine how executive dysfunction and neurodivergence can show up in documentation struggles — from procrastination and blank-page paralysis to difficulty organizing thoughts or shifting out of session mode — and why these challenges are common, not character flaws. Participants will leave with a toolkit of practical, executive-function-informed strategies ("EF hacks") designed to lighten the cognitive load of notetaking, reduce documentation backlog, and build sustainable habits that work with the brain rather than against it.

This training is typically one hour for individual or small groups of mental healthcare providers, but can be modified for larger groups. It includes training, personalized consultation, and a worksheet with strategies and commonly used note phrases. $130
